Beyond Barriers Intimacy and Dating is a beloved passion project where NDIS participants can find access to assisted intimacy, relationship coaching, and sexual health and education. Beyond Barriers was founded by local Brisbane provider Avalon, who through experience found that a wide variety of participants had been seeking community access to adult only events, venues and services.

Beyond Barriers is dedicated to ensuring those with disabilities still live active lives filled with safe, satisfying and consensual sex and intimacy. Everyone's individual needs are different, and a variety of services are available to help achieve your goals of independence, including:

• Disability and trauma-informed sex education and sexual health education.

• Consenting support workers who are here to help you access 18+ stores, venues, events and festivals. No more awkward talks with your regular support workers, who may not be comfortable attending with you. 

• Assisted intimacy for when other options are limited.
